    A plantsman's garden sited at the base of the Malvern Hills, 3 miles west of Great Malvern. Late season perennials and many unusual shrubs and trees make for an interesting visit in August. The garden lights up as September progresses and the National collection of autumn flowering asters (Michaelmas daisies) get going. By late September the garden is a tapestry of colour with autumn colouring trees & shrubs providing the background. Although best known for its autumn beauty the garden has been extensively renovated and reworked over the last few years, with an emphasis on adding to the spring and early summer interest. In particular the woodland areas where there are now a multitude of unusual plants forming the understorey, including epimediums, more than 100 different ferns and many bulbs. There is also a growing collection of historic daffodils (pre-1930).

Features and Attractions

National Plant Collection of autumn-flowering asters and an extensive nursery that has been growing them since 1906.
