87 St Johns Road

My garden epitomises what can be achieved with imagination, design and colour consideration in a small typical terraced outdoor area. Its themes are diverse and incl a fernery, Jardin Majorelle, a water feature and 3 individual seating areas. All enhanced with circles, mirrors and over planting to create an atmosphere of tranquility within an urban environment.

I love my garden and my garden loves me. It gives me solitude, funky parties, intimacy with friends, chill out seating spaces and keeps me very very busy!
But without it now I would be lost.
It evolves, it always has in the 10 years that I have been opening.
Although circles have been the design ethos, my overplanting that I loved has become a little prolific. I have learnt how to prune and am loving it!
I have been told by a friend who trained at Capel Manor that I am now a 'Seasoned Gardener'. I am thrilled. I'm shaping trees and shrubs, training roses & climbers, cloud pruning and will hopefully experience the change and maturity of my garden.
.i particularly enjoyed the chats with complete strangers who came to see my little garden in Walthamstow. One lady in particular travelled for about 2 hours and stayed for about 2 hours! I'd admit I'm not a plantsman, I do admit that gardens are for show!
So circles, mirrors, water, abundant planting, a gazebo, beauty, reflection & relaxation along with a spell binding story contained within the stone sculptures makes this a garden not to be missed.
