The Nation’s Favourite Gardens competition
From large country estates and picturesque cottage gardens, to urban hideaways and ancient woodlands, the National Garden Scheme opens 3,500 exceptional private gardens for charity – and we’re giving you the chance to pick your favourite!
We’ve teamed up with The English Garden magazine, supported by Viking, for the Nation’s Favourite Gardens competition, and anyone who nominates or votes for a garden will be in with a chance of winning a Viking river cruise for two, worth £4,990.
- From now until 15th July 2019, you can nominate your favourite National Garden Scheme garden, whether you’re its owner or simply an admiring visitor. To find all gardens open for the National Garden Scheme in 2019, visit our Find a Garden page or order your copy of the Garden Visitor’s Handbook 2019.
- A panel of six judges will choose a shortlist of gardens for each of the six National Garden Scheme regions – North, East, Wales and the Marches, South East, South West and the Midlands.
- From 1st August to 30th September 2019 you will then be asked to vote for your favourite shortlisted garden – one winner for each region and one overall. The winning gardens will be revealed in autumn 2019.
Win a cruise
Everyone who nominates or votes for a garden will be entered into a prize draw to win an eight-day cruise for two along the River Danube with Viking – which sails from Budapest to Nuremberg, with flights, six tours and all meals on board included.
