The garden at 70 Entry Hill is a suburban garden which is really a secret cottage garden at its heart. Over four years we have been transforming a once loved space into a magical and relaxed garden which we find ourselves lost in every day. The garden was divided into areas with some mature tree and shrubs, however it needed plants to thrive and grow to really bring it to life. We have given each area a different personality with a variety of interesting shrubs, trees, perennials and annuals and some secret seating areas to sit and while the time away! Verbena, Hollyhocks and Nigella self-seed in the borders and cracks and plants are allowed to grow through one another the way nature intended. Mind your own business is left to its own business and the Montana clematis thinks its climbing a mountain!

As you first enter through our garden gate, you find yourself in the shady courtyard garden, where Hostas and Ferns feel at home. You can see the garden emerge slowly with the sun shining on the lawn and sunny herbaceous border. There is a small gravel garden to sit and relax in while you watch the Pekins wander about the lawn, but there is still more to explore…

The garden has a secret side, cross the lawn to another garden gate where you might find a magical mini orchard, a vegetable garden with the secret garden shelter and two restored Bath stone turrets. Come and explore with the Pekins and who knows what else you may stumble upon!
