    A two acre plantswoman’s garden surrounded by open farmland, planted in both modern and traditional styles with rare and unusual plant varieties, shrubs and ornamental trees. Bulbs, Hellebores and flowering shrubs in spring, followed by planting to give interest throughout the year. Courtyard garden, formal front garden with mixed borders, seating areas, summer house, arbour and pond. Lawned areas leading to a shade garden and on to the Woodland garden with large pond, stumpery, woodcarvings and a shepherds hut. Productive vegetable garden with cut flower area alongside an ornamental herb garden. An old orchard provides a home for rare breeds of poultry and a small flock of Hebridean sheep graze in the field alongside the car park.
    Featured in The Garden after a visit by Roy Lancaster CBE. Plants for sale in adjoining Rhs Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medal winning nursery. Visits also by arrangement late Feb to September for groups of 15 plus. For other opening times please ring, email or visit the website.

Features and Attractions

Poultry and Hebridean sheep. Dogs allowed in car park and designated tables outside the tearoom. Our Eranthis collection has been inspected and we are hoping for creditation for National Collection status.
