More about Treetops Hospice Care
The site of Treetops Hospice Care is in the conservation area of Risley Village, and was formerly part of the grounds of Risley Hall, the home of Terah Hooley.
The hospice site was bought in 1986 and has welcomed day care guests since 1991. In July 2014, the new Clinical Support Centre, the Cheetham Centre, named after the founder Cally Cheetham was opened for bereavement care and counselling.
Planting around the buildings has been developed with the guests in mind, perennial borders welcome guests on arrival and now includes a rose garden and herbaceous borders. In Spring the grounds provide a riot of colour from 1000's of daffodils and other spring flowers. The gardens, looked after entirely by volunteers, have been kept spacious with open aspects to allow an uplifting feeling.
