Benter Gardens

2 contrasting gardens in a beautiful, rural setting. The garden at Fire Engine House is mature and established, with lawns, generous borders and narrow, enticing paths; through a garden door and tumble-down bothy is a small orchard and arboretum. College Barn garden is 3 yrs old and draws upon the surrounding meadows and woods with hazel and hornbeam hedges, swathes of perennials and prairie planting with ornamental grasses. An intimate walled garden is filled with vegetables, herbs and flowers. Amongst the planting is sculpture and woodwork by Fiona Campbell and Nick Weaver, whose designs featured in one of the gold-winning artisan gardens at Chelsea 2016.

Peace and tranquillity surrounds Benter Gardens.

Sunday 23 July (10am - 5pm). Combined admission £5.00, children free. Home-made teas at Fire Engine House.
