26 Normandy Avenue

6yrs ago this garden was a jungle, over half inaccessible because of a solid mass of brambles. Two garden buildings with leaded-light windows dating from the 1920s, a woodland walk, goldfish pond and many ornaments, a host of plants and a vegetable patch. Like most gardens it is still evolving. Tea and cakes, plenty of seating and some of our sculpture and pottery will be on display.

Sunday 23 July (2 - 6pm). Admission £3.50, children free. Home-made teas.

More about 26 Normandy Avenue

120ft garden belonging to a renovated and extended Edwardian house in Chipping Barnet. Six years ago this garden was a jungle, over half inaccessible because of a solid mass of brambles. By April 2011 it had been cleared and new paths and lawn laid. Two garden buildings, with leaded-light windows, dating from the 1920s were relocated and restored. The garden now boasts a “woodland walk”, goldfish pond and many ornaments, a host of plants and a veggie patch. Like most gardens it is still evolving. Tea and cakes, plenty of seating and some of our sculpture and pottery will be on display.
