Aberangell, Pen Pentre

The garden at Pen Pentre has been built up around the old Aberangell railway station on banks of R Dovey. Colourful cottage garden borders attracting bees, butterflies and other wildlife. Old railway platform and line are home to soft fruit, herbs and vegetables. The station contains many old artefacts from a bygone era. A new wildflower 'mini meadow' was sown in the autumn of 2018.     One corner of the garden is now home to an Apiary, with two hives of bees. Steps lead down from the old railway line to a lovely peaceful seating area on the banks of the River Dovey, with views over the valley. There are plenty of other seating areas around the garden offering different views from each one.
    Please note that, due to the various levels and steps, the garden is not suitable for the disabled or less mobile.
