Westcliffe gardens were award winning years ago. Neglected for over 20 years becoming wild and overgrown. The current owners have worked for 6 years on the garden, laying lawns and restoring the flower beds, The original patio has been re-laid and areas of brambles and ivy cleared for new beds and the garden is now a beautiful and restful area to enjoy with lovely planting and places to sit.
This garden opens as part of Dinas Powys on Saturday 1, Sunday 2 July.

More about West Cliff
A 365 degree garden surrounding the 1930's property, Westcliffe offers mature shrubs and trees, formal and informal beds plus a newly planted fruit garden. There are plans for a wetlands area in 2015. There are 4 lawns - to the front, side and back with various sitting areas. The gardens cover about half an acre and incorporate railway land to the rear. The Cherry, Laburnum trees and Yews would appear to be around 70 years old. Originally part of Thurstons Nurseries in Dinas Powys. Any local people with knowledge of the previous garden are invited to bring information or photographs to help the restoration work progress. These gardens are very much a work in progress.
