Ayot Gardens

Set in the centre of one of the most picturesque villages in Hertfordshire and surrounded by rolling countryside with a backdrop of the 11C ruined Church, are two quintessentially English country gardens. West House, part of The Old Rectory (not open), was landscaped 40 years ago and featured in Homes & Gardens 1987. Mature specimen trees, shrubs, herbaceous border, woodland and recently added old roses are a feature. 2 Ruins Cottages with entry through the adjacent ruined Church is an informal cottage garden with herbaceous border, fernery, ponds, rose garden, garden house, and tree deck with pastoral views towards the nearby Palladian Church where home-made teas are available all day.

Coffees and lunches available at The Brocket Arms and BBQ in good weather.

Saturday 10 June (11am - 5pm). Home-made teas.
Sunday 11 June (2 - 5pm).
