More about Loughborough Gardens

Herrick Road, Loughborough is a quiet leafy area with a mix of Victorian and mid century homes. The gardens in this group contain plenty of horticultural and creative interest.
134 Herrick Road is a small long tranquil garden, cleverly designed to make use of the space, brimming with colour and creative flair. The excellent Secret Craft Fair held during the open gardens weekend provides additional delight and surprises for visitors. The garden is full of attractive features and planting. Hedges, shrubs, climbers and a lovely Victorian brick wall form the structure of the garden. A bench surrounded by lilies, raised staging for herbs, sempervivums and alpines. The lawn is flanked with deeply curving gracefully planted beds of perennials, growing through and supported by hand-made structures and frames. This leads to a shaded sitting area under the Bramley apple tree, raised vegetable beds and a potting area.
94 Herrick Road is a traditional old-fashioned English garden at rear of Victorian house. Mainly perennial planting with interest in hardy geraniums and heucheras. Small pond and three active beehives. Wormery, composting and green cone to use all household waste. This peaceful walled garden also has a Coach House. Herrick Road Honey will be on sale.
