More about 134 Herrick Road
Creating the garden provided a welcome escape from the chaos of house renovations after we arrived in 1997.
The garden is full of attractive features and planting. Trees, shrubs, climbers & hedges form the structure and boundaries of the garden. The garden features a sitting area surrounded by lilies, raised staging for herbs, sempervivums and alpines.
The lawn is flanked with deeply curving and gracefully planted beds of perennials, growing through and supported by hand-made willow structures and frames. This leads to a shaded area under the Bramley apple tree, then on to raised vegetable beds and the potting area.
We love our garden, and everyone that’s visited so far does too! We enjoy people visiting and have a great reputation for the contemporary art & crafts events that we hold at the same time as Loughborough Open Gardens.
