Nynehead Court

Wellington

The house is a private residential care home for the elderly, once the home of the Sandford family from 1590-1902. There was a stone house in late C14 but it was rebuilt in 1675 by John Sandford. The gardens are noted for many superb specimen trees, a pinetum and ice house built in 1803. Taunton Deane Borough Council also awarded the gardens an historic landscape award.
