There is much to see in both the Walled Garden with it's collections of seasonal vegetables, fruits and herbs, and the flower garden planted with herbaceous plants at their best in spring and summer. Cut flowers for the house would have been a feature of the garden and dahlias and chrysanthemums represent these much as they might have been in the Edwardian era.
Beyond the walled garden is a mighty purple beech planted to commemorate the winning of the Battle of Waterloo in 1815, sunken gardens, terrace gardens and views to Wales across the estuary of the River Dee. A well-preserved Ice House and a replanted orchard containing varieties of Cheshire apples not often grown will bring the visitor to a formal pool in the North Garden and the Friends of Burton Manor shop and sales area.
Despite the pending sale of the Manor, there is still much to admire and access to the perimeter path gives panoramic views of the Dee Estuary.
