More about Waldrons

A thick high hedge hides this tranquil 1 acre garden with its C18 New Forest cottage. On entering a wide vista of the garden is immediate. The garden has been designed and developed by the owner since 1984. The mixed island beds have been created around old orchard trees planted with shrubs and many traditional cottage garden flowers. There is a raised alpine garden, at its best in the spring. Mixed hedging around most of the garden, bird boxes and tables encourage a wonderful selection of bird life throughout the year. To absorb the peaceful atmosphere and views, seats are positioned in several areas where a view of the various textures, colours and sounds of the garden can be enjoyed. Shade is provided in the garden by a large red flowering horse chestnut tree and other well established trees. Three large compost bins provide well rotted compost when needed. In the immediate vicinity are two inns, both different, with good food, sitting out area and excellent parking.
