An interesting 4 acre walled garden with paddocks beyond. A wonderful, diverse base of specimen trees underplanted with mixed shrubs and herbaceous borders, cyclamen, snowdrops and other bulbs, providing a lovely display in early spring and again in early summer. A mature underplanted pleached lime walk was created apparently with guidance from Rosemary Verey. A spring garden, rose garden, vegetable garden, herb garden, a broad range of roses and feature beds in a peaceful rural location on the outskirts of Wickwar.
There is a gnome challenge for children, a petanque area, a swing, and the garden contains a range of unusual artefacts. A wonderful garden in which to play hide and seek!
There are some gravel pathways and a gravel driveway which may make wheelchair access to the whole garden difficult. Seating around the garden, shelter is available.
Limited parking available for disabled visitors. More parking at the Playing Fields next door and there is a path into the garden from that area.
