More about Home Farm

'The walks around the woodland gardens of Home Farm start at the end of January to take in the carpets of snowdrops. These are then followed by the famous Gloucestershire dainty wild daffodils. Primroses, wood anemones, lady’s smock, violets and early purple orchids are the next flowers to emerge, followed at the beginning of May by the bluebells. The gardens are open for the National Garden Scheme on 5 Sundays during the spring but group visits are welcome by appointment by contacting Mrs Freeman by phone 01452 830 210 or email Stout footware is advised because, although the woods all have woodchip paths the pasture to get from copse to copse is steep in places. Mrs Freeman will greet all groups and accompany them on the walk if they wish. The local garden centre has a very good cafe serving light lunches and wonderful home-made cakes to accompany tea or coffee. Finding Home Farm is quite easy. From the A40 in the centre of Huntley take the B4216 signed to Newent for ½ mile and the drive will be found on the left,.
