‘Stunning’ and ‘inspirational’ are how visitors frequently describe this multi-award-winning ⅔ acre village garden. The strong design and exuberant colour-themed planting (over 1000 species, mostly labelled) offer a picture around every corner. The grass and perennial gravel garden has created a lot of interest and versions are now appearing in gardens all over the country!

More about Windy Ridge
Created over the last 30 years by the current owners, Windy Ridge could truly claim to have something for everyone! Children love exploring the winding paths and marvelling at the Wrekin Giant's Wellingtons, while there are plenty of seats in quiet corners for the not-so-young to rest and enjoy the view. Those redesigning their own garden will find many ideas to adapt and plantsmen will enjoy having a plant list to tick off their favourite plants. Over the years we have received a lot of positive feedback. In 2005 Roy Lancaster judged us to be Shropshire Garden of the Year, in 2008 we won the Daily Mail National Garden Competition , and in 2011 we won the 'Best Garden in the Midlands' competition run by the Gardeners' World Live Show. Described by Tamsin Westhorpe, editor-at-large of 'The English Garden' as 'pure perfection' and 'a must-visit garden'.
