The college has a long association with the NGS and for 2012 have decided to open the gardens and grounds for charity during snowdrop time. The college has a wide range of bulbs, including snowdrops and crocus, and pockets of daffodils. They also have a good display of other winter colour in the forms of grasses and coloured stems etc.
Susan Copeland, NGS Essex County Organiser said ‘During the 1990’s I was a garden design student at the college. I have lovely memories of wandering around the college gardens and grounds early in the season. Like me, I am sure that visitors will be delighted by the late winter colour and early spring bulbs.
‘Tiptree Jams’ have also revamped the tea rooms at the college and these will be open for visitors.
