Dorset Gardens Opening in Late May and Early June
An exciting time to visit our gardens. The rhodies are still magnificent, but fruit and May blossoms are giving way to roses and the wonderful herbaceous displays.
Friday 28th May
Annalal’s Gallery - Cancelled
Wolverhollow - At the far east of the County, is an informal garden, crisscrossed with paths which take you to and fro and along the brook back to the rockery and tighter planting round the house.
Saturday 29th May
Knowle Farm - Where the longest wisteria racemes cascade along the roadside. The feast of a plants person’s garden slopes down to the stream and you can’t miss the overflowing greenhouse. A tranquil place.
Snape Cottage - Here you will find a beautifully presented garden with far reaching views. But the best part is the well grown unusual hardy plants and summer bulbs which leave you with the ‘must have’ feeling. A professional’s private treasure trove.
Sunday 30th May
Coombe Cottage - A most attractive plantsman’s garden. The dense and decorative planting vies for your attention with the large plant house and subtropical specimens.
Corfe Barn - A lavender field and old buildings are incorporated into this lovely sunbathed garden. Exhibition of paintings by local artist Sean Curley.
Deans Court - A beautiful historic garden within minutes of Wimborne Minster bordering the River Allan, so much to see and absorb.
Holworth Farmhouse - A carefully planted sensual garden with subtle structure and use of space is turning on its summer show
Ivy House - The steep hillside has not prevented this capable gardener of giving visitors a rewarding wander up and down the hill. Good planting combinations and plants for sale.
Lawsbrook - Welcomes families and children, the arboretum of mainly native trees is in new season leaf, lots of space and fun
NEW The Manor House Beaminster - The large walled garden has been renovated and the new design with stunning planting is a pleasure to walk through with a large sweeping lawn and Victorian walk along the stream with fields beyond.
Mayfield - The new Mayor of Wimborne and his wife Shirley will be welcoming you to their award winning garden.
Mayo Farm - An early summer delight in a wonderful position, the planting blends and waves in the wind and the colours shimmer together.
The Old Rectory, Netherbury - Catch the primulii in the water garden having passed the topiary and formal area close to the house

Beech House - An unexpected series of gardens and hidden rooms all with their own charm and presence covering an acre.
