A mid-week garden opening awaits you at beautiful Rustling End Cottage near Codicote on Wednesday 13th June. From 2–5.30pm you can wander through the wildflower meadow to a garden full of contemporary and naturalistic planting. Flowering perennials and grasses feature strongly in this garden alongside classic garden styles in the form of topiary and a box parterre.
Vegetables and hens complete this bucolic picture. A sale of vintage and original postcards will feature on the day alongside homemade teas and a plant sale. Rustling End Cottage is also open for a evening visit on Friday 15th June between 6 and 9pm where you can enjoy a glass of wine as you explore the garden.
On Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th, the garden at 2 Ruins Cottage in Ayot St Lawrence will be opening its gates. Accessed via the adjacent church ruins, this garden holds a host of surprises for the visitor. From the raised tree deck with stunning views across the surrounding land, to the sumptuous rich fernery, water features and koi pond. Unusual architectural and sculptural pieces dot the garden landscape adding interest and texture. Teas will be available at the Art Festival in the nearby Palladian Church.
