Celebrate Mother’s Day with The National Gardens Scheme
It may still be early in the garden visiting season, but with the temperature slowly beginning to rise across the country and the wonderful gardens of the NGS ‘wakening up’, why not spend the afternoon of Mother’s Day visiting an NGS garden?
The 24 gardens listed below are all opening their garden gates to help you celebrate Mother’s Day in a very special way. Enjoy carpets of spring flowers – primroses, snowdrops, hellebores, or daffodils. Godinton House in Kent, for example has a Wild Garden with a mass of daffodils, fritillaries and other spring flowers. The Old Rectory in Sudborough, Northamptonshire has magnolias and cornus, containers of bulbs and large plantings of tulips, daffodils and early rare hellebores. Nant-yr-Eryd in Carmarthenshire has over 60 varities of daffodils.

What better way to share share a very special day – made all the better by knowing you are also raising money for charity.
