An Evening with Alan Titchmarsh

Alan TitchmarshOn October 1 at Bonhams, New Bond Street, London, Alan Titchmarsh will present an evening of light-hearted anecdotes, observations and reminiscence from his very varied life both in and out of the garden.

Alan will add further colour and texture to his personal musings with readings of his favourite poetry and prose. During the evening Alan will lead you from the fresh-faced Yorkshire lad who started as an apprentice gardener with the parks department of Ilkley Council in 1964, via formal training at Kew, to a career in horticultural journalism and on to the present day. During his life Alan has maintained his passion for gardening and nature and which now includes his numerous television projects. Writing has also become a consuming passion and to date Alan has written over 40 gardening book, two volumes of autobiography and seven novels. Support and involvement with numerous charities also forms a key part of Alan's life.

You can be part of this exclusive and intimate NGS event for which there will only be 80 tickets available.

Tickets are priced at £25 which includes a glass of champagne.

The evening will commence at 5.45pm and will conclude by 8.30pm.
