National Gardens Festival Weekend
Take part in the huge national garden opening festival on 7-8 June 2014 and help raise £'000s for nursing and caring charities.
A wide variety of gardens across England and Wales will open their gates to the public during 7-8 June for our second ever National Gardens Festival Weekend. With over 500 openings planned over the two days, the Festival aims to raise £'000s for nursing and caring charities, including Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie Cancer Care and Carers Trust.
This unique festival of great gardens includes:
- Urban gardens
- Formal country gardens
- Designer gardens
- Herb gardens
- Village ‘group gardens’
- Artists’ gardens
- Celebrity gardens
and many more...
Some gardens may have special activities taking place, such as art and sculpture collections on display, or live music. Nearly all offer delicious teas and cakes. Some have evening openings, serving wine.
