Vacancies in the NGS
Few people realise that the NGS operation across England and Wales is supported by less than 10 staff (full time equivalent). Our office is small and overheads are low, so we can give as much money as possible to charities.
The NGS appoints people on their ability to carry out the roles. The NGS recognises and values diversity and is committed to equal opportunities and promotes policies to eliminate unfair discrimination on the grounds of race, colour, ethnic group, nationality, gender, marital status, disability, religious or political belief, age and sexual orientation.
Volunteering
NGS is run by volunteers based in each county. Over 350 people share the fun and work involved in organising thousands of garden events, help and training is given and although knowledge of gardens is always helpful, the main requirement is for good organisational skills and for people who enjoy working as part of a team.
Contact details are available via the Contact Us page if you are interested in volunteering for the NGS, either at Head Office or as part of one of our local teams.
