VOLUNTEERING

 Q. How do I apply to have my garden considered for the Yellow Book
A. Look up the Local Organiser for your area in The Yellow Book or on
www.ngs.org.uk/link and contact them direct. They will have a number of preliminary questions to ask you about your garden. Alternatively email us for an information pack at ngs@ngs.org.uk

Q. I would like to get involved with the NGS –how can I help.
A. The NGS run by volunteers based in each county who organise and support our garden openings. Over 350 people form the backbone of the NGS sharing the fun but also the hard work involved in organising 3,500 gardens to open over 10,000 times between them. In each area we look for people to fill three key roles

  • A team co-ordinator and assistants who organise openings and provide help and advice to garden owners
  • Press and Publicity officers who help promote garden openings through local press and media
  • Treasurers to keep account of income and expenditure and organise banking.

If you have a question which is not answered here, please contact Head Office by emailing info@ngs.org.uk or telephone 01483 211535 with your question.
