Description:Owner-maintained garden created over 40yrs. Many mature trees form an enclosed peaceful space with lots of seating to enjoy vistas. Interesting and ever-changing herbaceous plants, bulbs and shrubs are planted for long-lasting colour and interest. A relaxed atmosphere, warm welcome and delicious home-made teas await visitors
Parking for larger groups is available by prior arrangement in neighbouring field

Disability information:Some gravel paths not wheelchair accessible

Further details:The garden is planted for interesting and unusual colour combinations, particularly in the foliage, reflecting Jocelyne's art training. It has many unexpected "corners" often with a secret seat on which to sit and meditate.....or perhaps just to sit ! Texture and shape are as important as colour, and many plants are there to encourage butterflies and bees. At the end of the garden, logs are piled up, nettles grow wild and apparent chaos is , hopefully, heaven for the bugs and beasties.Likewise ,in Clive's vegetable garden, some soft fruit is left uncovered on the grounds that the blackbirds and thrushes give us so much pleasure with their song , that we can share our fruit as a thank you !
