This two acre garden has been created around a Grade II listed former rectory (not open) and designed to create vistas from every part of the garden of the impressive early Victorian church tower of St. Johns which dominates the space. Created and developed over the last 25 years with an emphasis on naturalistic planting, colour combinations and plant partnerships. There is a long wisteria and clematis clad pergola and many deep herbaceous borders. The coach house is covered in wisteria and other climbers, there is a rich variety of roses and a vegetable and cutting garden. A cascade falls into a pond on the lower level. Sculptural elements by local artists are placed around the garden including two sets of ornamental gates by Melissa Cole which were featured on BBC Countryfile. A reflecting pond was created to mirror the church tower and the Folly, which itself echoes the style of the church. A small stumpery with ferns and another gate by Melissa was created in 2015.
